John Wallace has been working with the Chicago-based authors of Brass for Beginners® to introduce this innovative, cross-curriculum, early-years music programme to the UK.
A spectacular end to the festival combining a varied programme of music from The Wallace Collection, the Co-op Funeralcare Band, virtuoso trumpeter Marco Blaauw, the University’s talented brass player Thomas Harmar and electronics by Alasdair MacDonald. Including works from Malcolm Arnold, Wim Bex, John Wallace, Timothy Jackson and Derek Bourgeois.
Blaauw and then join forces with The Wallace Collection in a second half of improvised music for brass and electronics. An exciting presentation of contemporary music-making where, as an audience, you will hear unique performances which will never be heard again – listening and performance history being made together.
