An innovative approach to presenting a brass band concert as more of an art installation at the 2017 East Neuk Festival has stimulated extensive national media coverage – a fantastic step for promoting the diversity and important significance of brass music.
We are delighted to announce that The Wallace Collection has been successful in commissioning a new work for brass band and brass quintet – As Above, So Below – from composer Jay Capperauld, and with the support of PRS Foundation’s Beyond Borders.
John Wallace has been working with the Chicago-based authors of Brass for Beginners® to introduce this innovative, cross-curriculum, early-years music programme to the UK.
A double CD set which brings together a first volume of Malcolm Arnold’s exquisite music for brass. This double CD set includes a 16 page information booklet and offers a wonderful selection of works from this great composer, performed by some of the finest brass musicians of today and tomorrow.
